Museum Night 04 

The first national Museum Night took place in 9 Serbian and many European towns. More than 320,000 visits were recorded on 100 locations only in Serbia.

  • Belgrade 
    There was circa 240,000 recorded visits only in Belgrade, and the most talked about exhibitions were ‘What Was I Thinking?’ dedicated to the wedding customs (Ethnographic Museum) and these that took place in Konak kneza Miloša, Museum of Pedagogy, National Bank of Serbia, Military Museum, Dungeons in Kalemegdan and Museum of FC Red Star.
  • Novi Sad  
    There was more than 50,000 recorded visits in Novi Sad, and the most visited exhibition was ‘Meet the Vojvodinian Citizens’ in Museum of Vojvodina, which had more than 6,000 visitors. The exhibition called ‘Small World’ that took place in the National Bank of Vojvodina took the great attention, too.
  • Šabac 
    ’The first Museum Night in Šabac had offered really good time on seven locations and erased the prejudice of museums as boring places full of old and dusty stuff.’, Glas Podrinja, May 24, 2007.
  • Valjevo 
    In spite of cloudy evening and rainy night, Museum Night in Valjevo lured out a lot of art lovers as well as those who took the chance to enter the galleries they are usually just passing by. There was more than 5,000 recorded visits and the main attraction was the National Museum’s new exhibition, which had more than 2,000 visitors.
  • Sirogojno 
    Visitors of the ethno village Sirogojno had a chance to take part in adventurous game that was organized especially for the Museum Night in order to present this unique museum complex in the best way. Maybe the best description of the atmosphere was given at the end of the bulletin: ‘You have collected all the amulets and now you can sleep safe and sound. But be careful! The Museum Night will get you again next year!’
  • Sombor 
    The impressions about the happening that took place in the City Museum are extremely good considering the fact that it was just a pilot programme. All three exhibitions took attention of more than 500 visitors.

2006

Museum Night 02  
The 3rd Museum Night took place on June 3, 2006. There was more than 160,000 visits recorded on 23 locations.

2005

Noć muzeja 01  
The first Museum Night in Belgrade that took place on April 16, 2005, as a part of manifestation Belgrade Days, was a great success. More than 20,000 visits was recorded in five museums and galleries. Similar as in many European cities, such as Berlin, Amsterdam, St. Petersburg, Rome, Paris etc, Belgrade opened its museums’ doors between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. and offered many interesting and funny happenings besides the regular exhibitions.

Museum Night 02 
Museum Night BGD02 took place on Saturday September 17, under the patronage of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade and organized by the Art Production Group ‘Museum Night’ with the help of the public enterprise ‘Beogradska Tvrđava’.

Program of the second Museum Night that included 14 museum and galleries started ceremonially under the Winner statue on the top of Kalemegdan fortress. There was almost 70,000 visits recorded during that night.
